drama

For drama we got into groups of 4. Then we had to do an introduction video of our team. my team is Isla Charlie, and Noah. We made a video of the nursery rhyme humpty dumpty. And we had to sing in different voices. The most challenging thing was trying to stop our group from laughing.Then in our groups we got a selection of fairy tales or group decided on beauty and the beast I was the beast, Isla was bell, noah was the candlestick, and Charlie was the clock.

 As they dashed off a glimmer of strips could be seen. I got closer and closer. I said in a mumbled voice is that a zebra. IT IS!! I screamed louder than ever. I was in shock I did not know that they were native to New Zealand or that could just be my mind being weird .Any way lets get back to the subject this a mind blowing Discovery I puled out my phone camera and took a picture.

For Monday mash up i chose to do french. for the first  session we learnt how to greet people in french.  if you say, comment Tappelle tu.  that means what is your name.  and the person would say back . Je m'appelle my name is. For the second session we made fortune tellers with french words on the inside so then we would remember the words. For the third session we got given two pieces of paper some had pictures some had french words on the we had to cut them out and shuffle them. then the dealer would spread the cards out evenly when the picture in the world matched. for the fourth session we got given a piece of paper and it had the french words for the colours it had a hint under each colour and then we coloured them in. 

 

chocolate Earth

           Today for Inquiry we did a model  of the Earth we used marshmallow, chocolate, and a Eminem. 

          The chocolate represented the crust, the marshmallow represented the mantel, the Eminem       represented           the inner core and the outer core, the inside of the Eminem represented the core. 

      Similar things from the chocolate earth  to the Earth.

     The marshmallow  Earth had 4 layers.

   The crust was sensitive. 

The mantel squishy.

Egg earth

 Today for inquiry we did egg earth layers  it is basically where you cut into an egg 

and look at  the differences  of the egg and the earth. hat came to my mind first was the crust of the 

egg we had to crack the egg gently and Make little craters we did that  to have a look if it  looked like tectonic plates and it did. The other thing that I noticed is that  the yolk looks very much like  the core 

[aka the middle of the Earth].

the earth is in space, the earth is a different shape,

The crust on the earth is harder than the shell.

the earth layers

For Inquiry we did the earth layers, the first layer is the crust the cross made out of soil and water 

it also has tectonic plates tectonic plates are things that cause volcanoes and earthquakes they bang together to make A earthquake rise together to make a volcano.

The Mantle is made out of liquid rock and magma and it is really hot!. 

the outer core is made out of molten metal and it has a magnetic force that pulls metal things from space .

the core is a big solid metal ball.

day 2 of double school

For the second day of bubble school we played on the bike track played basketball and all that kind of stuff. my favourite point of the day was me jumping over a big bump on the bike track on my scooter. one of my other favourite activities was playing soccer. I also made facts and a picture with my brother of Neptune

 For  the first day of bubble school we  did art literacy and more, My favourite activity was art because I like colouring in.  one of my other favourite activities was playing basketball with my brother, where's the follow certain rules at school like wash your hands sanitise your hands to metres apart and coughing into your arm

why should matariki be a public holiday

What is matariki, matariki is a public holiday, it is also known as a 

Star cluster, and the cluster is called the  seven sisters,  in Greek it is called Pleiades, and in other countries it is called different names too.

Why do we celebrate matariki?

 To acknowledge our country's uniqueness

It is a way to get together and acknowledge the importance of Maori.

How do we celebrate matariki

This year for matariki a few months ago 

There was fire works down at the Pier there was 

All different kinds of fireworks, back in the day they 

Celebrated it the by having a big feast

why is matariki important in New Zealand

Jacinda ardern is positive that matariki is going to be a public holiday on the 24th of June next year, that will mean that matariki will be the first Maori public holiday 

Waitangi day is not included because it was an agreement between the Europeans and the Maori.

 First we chose a box, Then we looked at the weight on the box, Then we wrote the weight   after that we went outside we filled the box with sand, Then we came in side and saw how much the box weight and we repeated that same process 3 more times.

I noticed that....

Don't  always fill the box up to the top with sand.

We noticed that we got closer to the weight of the box every tine.

The biggest challenge for our group was getting the weight  accurate.

this is my argument

 I disagree that everyone should come to NZ because.

Firstly the morai claimed the land  in 1350 so i think that they had the right to keep the land to themselves.

Another reason is that,  the europeans brought bits of land of the maroi and back then the maori didnt no that what money was so they probably gave them about 100 dollars for the whole piece of land so that means they scammed the morai and all the maori wanted to do was have a better life.

MakeyMakey Game Controller

For the past few weeks we have been doing a thing called makey makey it is a Circuit and you plug a alligator clip that is white into a thing called Earth on the circuit and then it has a thing called space and yo u plug into the Circuit that's says  space and then your left right left down and up and you have 4  plugs to plug into left right down and up for mine in Hunters controller we made a scooter it work really really cool

 

Monday Mashup

 Today at Monday Mashup I did a different activity. It was drama first, we did a game called the spaghetti game. It is where you get a random emotion out of a bag. I got sad as my emotion was sad. 

After that we picked 3 words out of random, or team got foot  kitchen bungee jumping and then we did our play.

the three mice

 One od day Bob the niter  closed  for the day he had made so much sales  that he fell  a sleep  on the bed. Later that day some mice came into his house you would think they would come for food but know they started knitting for hours and hours.

         I do Taskmaster challenges every monday for 4 weeks. This week we had to spell the word rawhiti. As you can see we had a really big w, really small are r .we won out of two activities even                                         know we won   it is  good to saa good job

Swimming

  

                          Swimming is one of my favourite things to  do if i had to chose it would be in my top five it                               makes me feel good and refreshed  i encourage you to swim to.

 I enjoyed the task when we had to run/walk/jog around the bike track to find words.

I struggled with the boat Task we had to count the eggs that  were in the boat and we make a word.

I learnt that working in a team helped  put our brains together. 

 Next time we should try think more.

 My First Journal 2021

So far this year we have been given lunches some of them were good and some of them were not that good. In term 1 we go swimming. It is very fun. I especially like free time. Something I need to work on is my swimming strokes.
